Thank you for reading issue 1 of PAYDRT! I have no idea what I’m doing. This was started to teach myself how to make a comic as a fun personal project to work on when I have free time (which is rare) and I’m learning something new with every page. I’ve never drawn anything this long or really much at all before beginning this chapter. Newgrounds seems like as good a place as any to let it sit.
I’m messing around with the new NG art update. For now I’ve chosen to display all the pages at once so you can scroll through them. I think it plays best on a monitor/tablet or by pinching and zooming on a phone screen. It looks like currently NG is displaying the images in the viewer (when you click on a page) in high res and lower res on the default art page where everything is displayed inline. The NG crew are working really hard to make this update perfect and I’m very excited to see all the improvements in the coming months. So your mileage may vary with the best way to get it into your brain. Any effects it may have on your brain afterwards are not my problem.

This is an excellent comic. You have an intensely detailed, gritty art style that shines when you need to show violence and its gory consequences. I love how over-the-top your facial expressions can get. The way you've drawn this works so well with the grim setting. I'm looking forward to reading more and getting to know these characters. Great work!
Very cool. For someone who's "never drawn...really much at all" you're off to a hell of a start. The style is perhaps slightly too cartoony for the plot, but it works. Your real strength is in your storytelling, & perhaps in your worldbuilding. PAYDRT is as much a commentary on our hypermediated gig-centric society as anything else, & I love it. _So_ relevant. Decent inking skills, too.
