Pretty cool indeed.
So here's an interesting piece of Mario history, back during the mid-80's they were still largely experimenting with the secondary colors to go alongside Mario's red and Luigi's green, as well as the placements of all these colors. Of the many ideas they threw around, Luigi was to wear a cyan blue outfit for his one and only promotional art appearance for Super Mario Bros. that was used for both the "Mario's Big Adventure" album cover and Fuji TV's All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros.
Interestingly, this early outfit would seemingly be the basis for the Ice Flower outfit seen a few decades later. Probably a coincidence but still cool nonetheless.
Pretty cool indeed.
What a cool way to make a tribute to the series, really showcasing the history behind the character, and an unconventional look at Luigi... did not know about his alternative apparel experiments, though makes sense they'd try different styles.
Interesting. He still has a little bit of a green here at least, still a trademark style somewhat...
