I figured that having a quarter of your head open like that was asking for trouble - specifically in the form of a small supervillan bent on wiping out all sentient life on earth.
I felt the line art looked pretty good on paper, but maybe next time I should try to trace over my line art on the computer somehow to clean up the lines.
I just how do you people make such nice crisp lines?
Process:
- Do line art on paper and scan it.
- Take line art into GIMP and use threshold to make everything either white or black (remove anti-aliasing).
- Use pencil tool to fill in gaps and make minor line corrections and use paint bucket to fill in the rest.
- Use either pencil or brush tool to put in craters.
Here's the original line art in case someone else wants to try something with it.
