Love the composition and the lighting. I'm just wondering if the skin is competing with the scales saturation-wise? Maybe a little more contrast needs to be involved?

A cover I made for a novel I'm attempting, about a mermaid who asks a goddess for legs in order to help her selkie friend find her stolen sealskin.

Thanks! You might be right, I tend to lean a lot further into high saturation but it might look better if the skin was a little less saturated. Thanks for the crit!

The title needs some work (positioning, size, flow of words) but the image is really attention-grabbing. Great job on the watercolor background.
