I drew a scene from Abel Gance's Napoleon, a silent film made in 1927 and currently regarded as one of the best epics in film history. This scene particularly has a young Napoleon kicked out of his military school for the night into the cold after fighting other students over his uncle's gift: an eagle. After the eagle was let go by a number of bullying students, Napoleon finds his eagle waiting for him on top of a cannon.
An pet eagle to some, an eagle of destiny for Napoleon.
The lighting brought about a lot of detail and i had to draw it. With work and well, life, it's taken about 2.5 years to complete. Glad it's done as I'm taking drawing more seriously.
