Took some time to assess my drawing skills; I have identified that there are some issues with my drawings that I plan to work on fixing.
Issue number one: Negative Space. In my drawings, my characters take up a considerably small portion of the canvas. In theoretical terms, there is a lot of negative space and not enough positive space.
I will make sure this issue never again arises in my future drawings. Forever.
I solved this by making the braids very large and wide, so the whole character fills up the canvas. I think it worked fantastically; There's a stark difference between the composition of my last drawing and this one.
Next up: Facial Expression!
Again, this drawing is based on random generation. Yes, I rely on randomly selected everything to build up a character, from clothes to hair type to color. I do it to build up my visual library.
