This is an MB 100, a type of EMU built by Ansaldo and Ercole Marelli for Line B of the Roman underground in the late 80's
Part of the modernisation plan for the line, which included an 8 km extension to Rebibbia, they entered service a couple of years before this extension was actually opened.
Even with much newer stock becoming available in the last few years, 15 out of the 31 6-car trains built are in regular service.
