Doctor Nicolai Nexus

Share

Every great android lady needs a great inventor, and here he is.
Silica Nexus' "Father" Doctor Nicolai Nexus.
Think of him as a mix of Doctor Thomas Light and Doctor Mikhail Cossack from the Classic Megaman series.

Name: Nicolai Nexus.

Date of Birth: April 5th, 77,938 A.R.

Age: 55

Sex: Male.

Droid Type: Artificial Human Android.

Height: 6’ ft (183 cm).

Weight: 172 lbs (78 kg).

Occupation: Scientist of Robotics.

Bio:

Nicolai Nexus is a name well-known within Devol City.
At the mere age of 7 it was quickly noticed by his parents that young Nicolai had a gift for tinkering.
Wanting to see him seize his future, Nicolai was enrolled in The Devol Academy of Robotics (D.A.R).
He would spend all of his schooling there and later graduated at the top of his class at age 27.
Dr. Nexus would be hired on to D.A.R as a professor of robotics to teach the new generation.
This is where he met his star pupil Theodore Thorn and developed a friendship with him.
For 15 years Dr. Nexus and Thorn would work so close together that they dreamed of opening up their own labs in order to research their own experiments.
Wanting to see if he could make this happen Nicolai took many of his blueprints for battle androids and presented them to Devol City’s Special Forces.
The director of the Special Forces, Gideon Gauss commissioned young Nicolai for a prototype of his “Nexus System Numbers” battle androids.
With the large sum of money Dr. Nexus opened Nexus Systems and hired Thorn and many of his other pupils.
Dr. Nexus and his crew was experimenting with the newly discovered Polymorphic Metal which if harnessed correctly, could make a new alloy that has the ability to morph into any weapon.
The prototype was created with this alloy in mind.
NSN-000 code name “Kevlar” was set on numerous military tests, and would later be sent out on real missions.
Kevlar was successful, however during one mission, his core was badly damaged.
Knowing it would take too long for Kevlar’s core to be fully repaired he was decommissioned to civilian life.
Kevlar’s model would be mass-produced into the K-Combot series.
Theodore Thorn left Nexus Systems to start his own company.
For the next 10 years, Dr. Nexus would master the secrets of the Polymorphic Metal, and would develop NSN-001 through NSN-005.
These androids would be later known as the Polymorphic Rangers as an effort to combat the newly formed Cyber Syndicate.
NSN-006 through NSN-009 would be a police unit to further aid Devol City’s Police Department.
Will the success of the K-Combots, the Polymorphic Rangers, and the DCPD unit Dr. Nexus was relieved of his active contract with the Special Forces and was allowed to retire or create whatever he wanted now for Nexus Systems.
He had NSN-010 in development, but seeing how she wasn’t going to be used, Dr. Nexus decided to finish her privately while infusing her with everything he has previously developed.
Three years later Dr. Nexus finished NSN-010 which he called Silica Nexus.
She was originally designed for combat but had her combat capabilities turned off in order for her to live a normal life.
But with the return of the Cyber Syndicate and Silica wanting to make a difference, Dr. Nexus agreed to turn Silica’s combative powers back on.
Today Nicolai can still be found in Nexus Systems creating new ideas and striving to excellence in his craft of robotics.
He hopes that Silica’s bio android technology will be able to be used more freely for more civilian life.
