This is my first entry at the COTM, it's a traditional piece made using color pencils and pen. The colors and lighting have been digitally modified though to try and emulate a blinding sun effect.

I'm probably over thinking my drawing, but you could say there is a visual story ; the kittens are coming from the darkest part of the image (the jeep) and their only way to escape is to follow the track towards the light ; the sun (it's also the only part of the picture clear of dragons).
There's also a limited time for them to do that seeing other dragons coming from the distance and hiding the sun the closer they get.

I do not intent to make any commentary or political statement on the Vietnam war, I just thought it was a cool setting, even though you'll find a few references to the era in the drawing.
Also the drawing is named after the famous quote and Pete Seeger's song (don't know which one came first) : « Bring 'em Home ».
