"A crash echoes throughout the valley. The late summer sun transforms the red rocks into hot embers as the giant blocks of ice crack and detach, falling into the, quite scarily, clear lake below. Scary in the sense that you can see to the very bottom of the lake, it feels as if I am standing on a white cloud as I walk on the still intact ice, floating above the ground below. I thought I felt moving faster than usual, but much to my surprise the ice I had been walking on had detached from the shore and was now slowly gliding towards the other end of the valley. I do hope it takes me all the way there, or otherwise I will have to dip myself into the waters below, but for now I think I am just going to sit down and enjoy the views as I slowly glide forwards and listen to the cracks and booms of the slowly melting ice."
