Greek/Roman Statue drawing for Art History

19.5x25.5in

Charcoal (and some exacto knife action)

So relieved to have this completed. This is actually a self portrait of me stepping out of the shower.

Looks really good!

What do you mean by exacto knife action?
And where was it drawn?

Theo-art responds:

Well you see, I made the mistake of outlining this in colored pencil (I thought it was white charcoal, I mean, it was in the package with the black charcoal so WHAT THE HELL) and as it turns out you can't put charcoal over colored pencil very well -- so the exacto knife was called to duty. I was able to cut apart the waxy coat the colored pencil put on the paper by scoring the shit out of it, allowing me to draw on top of it with charcoal.

This was drawn mostly in my makeshift basement studio, but also at the Creative Center of Graphic & Fine Arts where I study.
