This reminded me of a cartoon, like something from Fantasia 2000: Rhapsody in Blue.
I love the dark shadows and the violent contortions. The figure holding the teddy bear looks terrified, but also looks tired of going through this every night. That's what I get from this.

Pretty accurate interpretation on your part! That about sums up the poem this was based on! Now that you mention it this does kind of look like that scene from fantasia 2000. Not that I'm saying "oh hmm mm I'm the best hurr durr."
