So I finally caught Livesey’s Disease and made myself a sona for the Treasure Island fandom, inspired by my friend @meat-pvppet’s fan characters. Except she wound up being a ghost, since apparently I’m more comfortable with portraying a Beetlejuice knockoff than with revealing that I’m just a regular powerless human with some issues.

This ref is a bit rushed, since I wanted to have it done before I joined a fan server, but I like what I was doing with art style and exaggeration to call attention to the fact that she’s emaciated and, well, dead. I took heavy inspiration from the style of the Beetlejuice animated cartoon, especially for the eyes. I also like the color palette and how I kept it down to 11 swatches by reusing colors. There’s still a lot of work to do with refining this design, but I still enjoy this finished product as it is.

If you want to draw her, feel free! I’d love to see her in some different styles and figure out improvements for the design! Happy arting!

Thetageist responds:

Oh, thank you! I had a lot of fun with it back then!

But ... You not feel strange when ghost has in same time emaciated and in same time has breast ? Because breast in root is just fat .

In total not bad :)

Thetageist responds:

This feels like a research journey I’m about to go down. Onward, to answer the ultimate question: Ghost boobs!
