i know making piskel art myself
I've made a few game design projects over the years through various summer camps and classes, so here are the character sprites/designs from most of those, or just designs for game ideas I've had.
Jumper Jam (2018)
My first ever game dev project, being an attempt to recreate TF2's rocket jumping mechanic in a ~week long summer camp on Construct 3, starring this absolutely abominable Soldier sprite. It honestly baffles me how I let myself make something this shitty, though to be fair it was my first time using Piskel and I was probs in middle school at the time.
Here's the link to the fucking awful game prototype this sprite is used in: https://treese.itch.io/jumper-jam
Unnamed Asscheek Platformer Concept (2019)
I had an idea for a platforming game about a nerdy dude who's super insecure about his appearance, yet was gifted with an absolutely MASSIVE ass that had the ability to stretch and change shape for various platforming maneuvers. These are just concept sprites for the character design, no fat ass involved. I haven't totally trashed the idea, but with how hard it is to motivate myself to make games it's basically dead.
Scary Larry (2019)
A top-down shooter game featuring zombie enemies based on one of our camp's instructors, the very not-scary and uber-friendly Larry, who constantly wore a big hat. I'd include the player sprite, but it's all broken up into separate parts, so here's the game it's from (which is WAY more polished than Jumper Jam): https://treese.itch.io/scary-larry
Vision (2019)
Concept character designs for the protagonist of the game Vision, a 3D platformer focusing on using different lenses for a magical eyepiece that gave the main character special abilities like toggling object tangibility or slowing time.
No game link, but I do have a YT channel where I demoed the game prototype: youtube.com/channel/UCi3Y1a3SnBGEzoF7jNywNzw
Voyager West (2020)
A personal project which was going to be a TBoI-style roguelike but with a sort of Indiana Jones-y temple raiding theme. Made this sprite for the protag, looks a LOT like Bobby Hill.
Unnamed Body Horror Metroidvania Concept (2020)
One of the prototypes for a character design idea I had for a Metroidvania story idea, being a woman who wakes up in a dead, desolate world with one of her hands being replaced with an arm cannon without her knowledge or consent, much to her horror. It was supposed to be a sort of psychological/body horror sort of deal, to kind of deconstruct the concept of an arm cannon and approach it from a different, more twisted perspective. I came up with this idea when I saw the Justin Bailey sprites for Samus in Metroid 1 and thought it looked like her arm had been cut off and replaced with an arm cannon against her will. I thought that concept was too cool to forget, so I quickly whipped up a sprite before I went to sleep.

Nice soldier art! Sun Tzu said that. And he knows a LITTLE bit more about art than I do, because he invented it! And then he perfected it, so that no living artist could best him in the battlefield!
