Thanksgiving For the Rain ~ Sleeve Cover

Cover artwork for one of the Tempus Imperfectum tracks (not revealing which number just yet).
As is the case with most of the sleeve covers for the album and its tracks, the concept is tied to the ideas I have for the music. For Thanksgiving for the Rain, I am directly drawing from a euphoric episode I had on the way to Mass one Sunday in 2019, in the midst of a drought -- the heavens opened while I was walking to the bus station, and it rained heavily. I happened to have a small drum with me at the time, and I was so overjoyed at the sight and sensation of the rain, and the smell of petrichor, that I beat that drum and danced in the driving rain.
So I imagined a dance done not as a prayer for rain, but literally as thanksgiving for the rain -- and also as a petition for the forgiveness of wrongs committed in the relentless heat of the drought.
