One quarter of a four-part poster I'm working on. It's sort of like a mock-up movie poster design for a story/design idea I've been tailoring lately. The general idea is to combine elements of the Western genre with a high fantasy heroic tale, and hence, the plot premise revolves around four lone warriors, bound together under unlikely circumstances, on a journey together but moving towards four very different destinations. Set in the aftermath of a civil war, the four must trek across a foreboding, anarchic desert-plain known as the Lawless Lands, encountering all manner of old friends and enemies from their pasts. This strapping young man is one Jace Larson, master archer, skilled combatant, whose boyish charm belies his age and carefree, jovial manner masks his dark and violent past.

Most ambitious and meticulous coloured work I've done in a long time. I'm finding a nice balance between the rough lines and the soft watercolour effects, I think. Needs more work, though, just a draft.
