This image I designed in Ultrafractal based on an event from a book I'd written. The silver egg shapes are escape pods, the lavender lines are part of the force field that's drawing them in to a place they never knew existed. In each "egg" would be one or two people (not all human). The nature of the region of space they were exploring in the story is such that this could actually be an exact representation of the scene.

Even so, I think it's kinda' nice even if you don't know the back-story to it. :-)
