On the brink of death and found badly wounded in a large lake, Johnny was rescued by a lone villager that soon turned his rescue-attempt into a town-effort project. Soon enough, all the townsfolk were trying to nurture Johnny back to health. When he was in better shape and more energetic, he took it on himself to become a sort of guardian/protector of the town that saved his life. Johnny uses his long, slender, and flexible tail to strangle opponents and do long-range damage (similar to a bull whip). His skin is very slimy and wet, and must be kept hydrated or he risks drying out and being weakened. The mucous coat his body secretes is very much akin to a regular salamander- except this kaiju salamander can asphyxiate his opponents with the gross slime. (Hey, he isn't all teeth and claws you know!) Johnny doesn't talk much, if at all, but he has shown to be somewhat intelligent. If he isn't swimming around in the large lake he was found in, he rests in an abandoned castle outside the lake's edge (which is just big enough for him. He's actually about the size of a small castle anyway) He may not be much of a conversationalist- but he knows danger when he sees it, so he can be a pretty good judge of character.
