I was going to have this one translated, but time got in my way.

I'm still surprised that after 25 years, the animated Pokémon series decided to switch the protagonist. I'm sure it likely suffers from pre-existing issues, but most series wouldn't dare to switch the main character even after such a long time, like Dragon Ball. Though I'm curious if they'll abandon her after this Scarlet/Violet period is over, as I doubt they'd take Paldean starters to a new region.

Reiterating what I said in a certain other image, I like Liko visually. It would've been easy for a character with such a blue colour scheme to be unappealing, but I like her outfit and natural build.

An observation I've made about this franchise is that almost no one wears nail polish. That's not really a bad thing, as many enjoy natural toenails, but a bit more variety would be appreciated.

The drawing didn't go through too many changes. The biggest change is that the background was originally white, and the lighting on Liko was purplish. I changed it to the warmer hues because it looked more inviting; I find that in general, cooler hues don't look as nice on humans or environments for whatever reason.

Now, remember when I made that journal saying I could go down a subscription route? It was on DeviantArt, so probably not, but I understood I'd have to make more wide-appeal content. This is the only reason that this image has any sort of giant image literally tacked onto it. If I hadn't considered that, it would've been normal.

But per usual, at least I provide an option—unlike most. And I also had this boy at the same size as the feet—unlike most. Basically I did it in a way that doesn't entirely piss me off.

Obviously I prefer the variants without Roy blocking Liko's foot. Humorous that I upload something whose tags I have blocked hard in my search results.
