Dislikes: Those scary people ( CCBS ), the idea of being tested on, tedium, not having shokolats
The Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences ( CCBS ) is Russia's largest scientific and medical research center, aiming to change the world for the better with the power of Russian SCIENCE!!! ( for a price ). The main objective of CCBS is to find a cure that would eradicate all the diseases in the world, both present and future. Unfortunately they have failed over and over again for decades, unable to take any steps forward. Many CCBS scientists were desperate to be the first to create this miracle cure and have their names etched in history, and one of them would achieve it by complete accident: Nikolai Moroz.
Nikolai spent hours, days, and weeks trying to create this incredible cure, overexerting himself, sacrificing his health in the process. One day, while he was messing with some chemical components to do some tests, Nikolai lost a little bit of concentration and accidentally dropped some flasks full of nondescript fluorescent liquids on the components he was working on, causing a huge explosion in the lab. Still alive after that accident, he realized that something was created in that explosion, a little blue and green jelly, with an intense but charming glow. Nikolai had never seen anything as interesting as that jelly in his life, so, not wanting to waste any more time, he collected this “goop” and took it to his house for testing. However, in a matter of days, the jelly began to evolve, becoming a living being with consciousness and intelligence. At first, Nikolai was terrified, thinking that he had created some kind of slime monster, but over time he realized that the jelly was harmless, practically a baby discovering the world for the first time. After noticing that the jelly was a sentient being, Nikolai no longer felt comfortable doing tests on it, as he didn't feel good about using test subjects. Months later, Nikolai adopted this little jelly, feeding her shokolat, teaching her about the world ( with SCIENCE!!! ) and giving her her name: Goopey.
Goopey was extremely curious, always wanting to learn more and tinker with her father's scientific equipment. Before he knew it, Goopey had read hundreds of different books and even started doing various scientific experiments on her own, such as jetpacks, super shokolats and machines that run on potato energy, which in turn made the old man proud. After so many years of disregarded work and failure, Nikolai finally felt happy and complete, along side with his slimy little daughter. But that happiness would not last forever.
CCBS began looking for Nikolai on suspicion of stealing important research ( Goopey ). Now, fearing for Goopey's safety, they both fled to the Russian countryside, where they would no longer be followed. Unfortunately, a year after that accident, Nikolai began to show unknown and severe symptoms. Apparently, that accident had affected his body in an extremely negative way, and now that they were away from hospitals and pharmacies, Nikolai's life was on the line. Desperate for a solution, Goopey researched for days, running different tests while taking care of her father. But even with all that effort and knowledge, she didn't get any results. Dipped in tears, Goopey couldn't help but watch her own father slowly lose his life. When all seemed lost, they received a mysterious letter, a letter with a proposal that Goopey could not refuse….
