Inspired by work done by Res Bellica. His helmet is a Konos helmet, a later evolution of the Pilos and Boeotian helmet. This helmet is attested in Roman pictorial sources, on coins depicting cavalrymen, however in Greece they are sometimes associated pictorially with infantrymen. The linothorax is a speculative choice as evidence for it's use in Italy goes back centuries prior, it's use by Romans is debated. Prior to the assumed introduction of chainmail sometime during the second Punic war, muscle cuirasses are better attested, however the linothorax can't be ruled out entirely.
