Absolutely beautiful expression of the deep anxiety, stress, and trauma that can come from abuse. In the past I was in an abusive relationship myself; I can see, and partly feel, the pain you are expressing here. I hope with all my heart you've healed since then. Amazing work, the progress in your artistic ability is evident!

a redraw of this piece from exactly a year ago today:
and i cant believe its been a year. damn.
back then i was dealing with the stress of just having gotten out of an abusive relationship, having a feeling of being eaten alive and left to rot.
i made this piece to express that pain, and illustrate how it felt.
i redrew it this year to show how far i've come and how much i have improved with my art, i think i improved a lot, in anatomy, painting, shading, and putting more detail in my artwork.
thank you to everyone who stuck with me through the year. its been a hard bumpy road and i hope next year is even better.
