HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!
We're working hard to give you the best site possible, but we have bills to pay and community support is vital to keep things going and growing. Thank you for considering!
Tales of Vesperia is the first game I played in the Tales series.
While I found the party characters beautiful and really well written, the main story is confusing and flat and in many moments it seems to move forward randomly; I must admit that at one point I couldn't wait for the game to end.
Other strong aspects of the game are: the dungeons, very varied and fun, the graphics, the not unnecessarily huge cities and the soundtrack.
I did not appreciate the battle system, during the first hours of the game I seriously thought I was in front of the worst battle system I had ever tried in a jrpg, fortunately after increasing the party and with the addition of the giant monsters it improves slightly.
The relationship between Yuri and Flynn is really written very well, as well as the conflicting ideologies of the two characters, I also saw the OAV "The First Strike" and I must say that Yuri is truly one of the best protagonists among the jrpgs I have played.
