Hi there, i can not draw except stick figures, i have traveled quite a bit and one of the things that draw my attention during a trip it`s how the sun and the light looks over the hills and mountains, your painting had the effect in me...it is perfect for me. Beautiful.

wartynewt responds:

Thank you! glad i could bring back some memories!

If you ever have album this would be the most FIRE cover for it
just saying xD

wartynewt responds:

haha thanks!

I like the composition, but the colors are all kind of the same. The worshipers, the dunes, and the big giant head just all blend together, and then the sun draws the eye away from the figures because it's the most colorful thing on the page.

wartynewt responds:

Thanks man, good feedback :) i'll keep it in mind for future paintings, i was going for a monochromatic look for this one but i could've made it better with some nice color contrast for sure.

Nice. Really nice, colors, lights, composition - everything's absolutely fine.

wartynewt responds:

thank you!

Is this inspired by the pyramids or the sphnix? It sure does feel that way, mysterious gargantuan structures that have unknown origins. When I look at this and I think about it, it is both sad and beautiful. They give meaning to their miserable lives through religion, but to what end is it actually meaningful and fulfilling.

wartynewt responds:

exactly the feeling i was going for, like they're sitting on a long lost temple.
