I love your art!

saaaaaaaaamuuuuuuuuuuRAI! :D

awesome good job

You have some good skill into this but I do see some problem areas. The first one is that there is a tangent happening with the tip of the sword and his scarf, also they are practically the same color, so the sword tip gets lost. Second your colors are clean but monotone. Shadows tend to get cooler in color. Doing an overlay or softlight color change with a warm color on the lighted areas and a cool color in the shadowed areas would do wonders for this. Hope that helps.

Very nice

I'm not too familiar with Japanese art, but you stayed faithful. It seems to me that the top portion has more detail than the bottom of the man. Something about the padding on the legs is lacking. In the zoom-in, I can see that there's a layering issue: scarf thingie is supposed to be in front of everything, but the beard is a little over it. Also, the eyes are very anime-ish. They look fine, but I can't tell if you were going for realism or something stylish. The sword looks lacking, too. Its colour scheme is too similar to the scarf and looks like cardboard.

The background, though simple, does the job with the traditional artwork. The hair looks really great; good job with the different-coloured hairs.

The overall picture looks really good, but it's just a bit simple in some areas compared to others. Jeep up the good work.
