For your information, you misspelt "Amateur" in you bio, with "Amatour", which actually has a completely different pronunciation to "Amateur".

Amateur, adjective: A person with little skill or lack of understanding of a specific task.

Pronunciation: Ama-ch-er.

Example sentence: "Arthur was an amateur at chopping wood. He needs more practice."

Language origins: Lower German, Latin.

Amatour, colloquialism: A misspelling of the word amateur.

Pronunciation: Ama-t-oo-er

Language origins: English slang, modern colloquialism.

Example sentence: Non-applicable.

As you can see, the word "Amatour" is technically slang, having been made up and not being considered a real word within context to it's competitor "Amateur".

Glossary:

Slang, adjective: A word or phrase used to describe objects, places or things that is unconventional. A replacement for standard Verbs, Nouns, and Adjectives.

Colloquialism, adjective: A person's, or culture's specific way of explaining things. Individuality amongst literacy.

Example:

1. Scottish Colloquialism: "Wee Laddy." (Small boy.)
2. Australian Colloquialism: "Having Smoko." (Having Morning Tea.)
3. English Colloquialism: "Bangers and mash." (Sausages and smashed potatoes.)

Note: Do not mistake "Colloquialism" for "Idiom".
