Honestly Hollow Knight has become one of the best games I've ever played, being my second metroidvnaia game, after Super Metroid. I recommend everyone to give it a go. All the game leads up to that moment, and it was a very epic moment, with a long, suspensful drum roll as you free your final opponent from its chains. You also get a good amount of lore if you're quite the explorer type, and by trying to find every little secrets you'll eventually find your way to the Void Heart quest, which explains a lot on this character, its past, and its purpose.
