I messed around with some new instruments and effects and made what sounded like an empty or barren jungle temple, but there's a catch this time. I made a second version for when the area is completely covered in a corrupted substance, making it dark and uninhabitable. That is this version.
There are a few parts to it like last time, so read closely:
At the start, it's very calm, or at least calmer than the rest of the song. This part would be played in most of the explorable area, or what's left of it.
At 0:42, a synth comes in, which would be played in specific rooms, like perhaps a machinery room in the temple, but compared to the previous version, it has much more depressing notes.
At 1:46, is where a battle might commence in the "calm" area. Everything sounds messed up here to simulate that you are no longer in "easy" territory. These enemies are out to kill you and the music makes sure you understand that.
After that part is just me tying up stuff and adding a fade-out to make it an actual song, like last time.
An additional note for this version, I meant to make it choppy, crusty, pixelated. It makes the song sound broken. Which helps immerse you in the world. The song, much like the area you are in when it plays, is... broken.
