Holy Crap!
Hmm, I was really dying to hear this song (I only got the first few seconds of it because of my crappy AIM client)
Overall, the song is really good.
Cool, we can type full commentaries now. Great. Now we can list all the technical aspects of our music :D
First try at ambient/intelligent DnB. Tell me what you think. Inspired by trogdar... he's awesome.

Ah good
K cool I got to review you first.
Nice intro pads a break. I like the use of resonance. There is a bit of clicking, its somewhat annoying, not sure what it is. The sub is nice but there was another lower sound there. Now, instead of a sub, try using a distorted (slightly) then lowpassed 808 kick. It will give more of the texture you want.
That lead melody doesn't really suit well. Usually, these songs have a warm analog synth progression, no melody and only sub movement, or flowing pads, that combine and tickle the sides of your ears. There's this weird distortion sound coming from my headphones... probably because of the sub. I hope its not part of the song...
Now, you did something intelligent songs need to be really careful with... 2 things actually. First off, you stopped the drums and second, you had a roll. Now, the reason I say this is because this is "zone-out" type music. You want to keep the listener entranced, without them noticing the song is progressing.
The drums are ok. I would've wanted a bit more "cutting" power on the snare, to kind of push through the ears... try listening to some old (not "The Deepest Cut" old, after that) Omni Trio, and loudly. Closely examine the snare texture, and try to match it. That is pretty much the optimal texture.
Again, your song break... Now, there was one thing here that struck me as awesome. When the lead comes in, its slight build there, that is awesome... but the melody does not suit. Try flowing chords.
The ending is not too good, try smoothing it out, so that it's hard to tell when it ends because it just breaks. Ok, now, I'll take a second listen, to see how it is now.
Add a stereo enhancer to the master bus. This song feels so mono, and stereo adds interest without distraction, and that's the key.
Listening again, I feel that the drums are moving a bit too much, or too fast. Listen to anything by Omni Trio on "The Haunted Science" (Incredible album, I highly recommend it). Get a feel for his work. It feels very minimalist, but it is so varied.
Again, I notice the kick roll, it is too sudden, smooth it out, or eliminate it altogether.Still, that introduction of the lead is simply amazing. Really, do include something like that in other songs in this genre.
Well, its good to see something new out of you that doesn't suck (just kidding :P) and I'm really liking this one, and the vibes here. Overall, it was nice... Ohhhh now I just noticed something. The snare is clipping at around 250 hz... EQ down there please, kthanks.
Overall 9/10, 5/5... If you were a veteran, I'd be much harder on you, but this is your first, and a damn good first at that! Keep it up! :)
lol youre the SECOND review because it took too long to write this lol. i'll refer to all this next time i make an intelligent dnb.
