Disclaimer: This skit does not condone suicide. Suicide is an awful thing and if you actually are feeling troubled talked to a loved one, psychiatrist, even yourself if you can't find good company.
With that out the way. This skit came right out of nowhere. Inspired by one of my favourite comedies, Dead Man On Campus. In said movie two college students try to get a suicidal student as a room mate, so that if he or she offs themselves, they get passing grades. During one attempt, Cooper played by Saved By the Bell's Mark Paul Gosselaar tries to make a paranoid conspiracy theorist room mate do the deed by posing as a Suicide Hotline operator before switching gears and claiming he's Bill Gates after his brain. While I don't know Suicide Hotline well enough to know it's merits, I always wondered, what if someone wanted to kill themselves, there was nothing anyone could do to stop them, in fact they practically accepted it, but the person was too chicken shit to do it alone? So it hit me, what if there was a hotline that was the complete opposite of Suicide Hotline. Where instead of talking people out of killing themselves they talk their customers into it. Granted it was probably one of the most dark and disturbing thoughts I've ever had in my life, but in order for this skit to work, I got to thinking "Who would benefit from people offing themselves, but not make money off it?" So I turned this skit from a light hearted dark comedy to a disturbing horror comedy by making it look like the Devil set this up so he can have more souls to claim. If anyone's offended, I apologize in advanced disclaimer aside, but other than that enjoy.
