This is my first completely solo piece in a while.

Originally the title of this piece was going to be "𝔹𝕣𝕠𝕜𝕖𝕟 𝔽𝕣𝕖𝕖" in that font, but I don't think it would necessarily show up on mobile, and the normal font version of "Broken Free" doesn't quite have the same aesthetic appeal. So I decided to name this after the "album" of the same name that I have sort of loosely put together based around the other projects I've made during the past year and a half or so.

My first conception for this song was that it would be a strictly atmospheric piece clocking in at around 7 minutes long and wordlessly conveying a journey into and back out of madness. The shrill and wild segments you hear at the beginning and in the middle reflect the periods of tumult I have found myself going through at various points in my life. In that respect, the final product is faithful to that original vision. However, it ended up being half of the estimated length and I decided to record a lot of vocals for it. In fact, this song gradually took on a character of its own and ended up becoming an audio representation of my entire spiritual journey, from the start to the point I'm at now. It's messy, it's all over the place, it's discordant sometimes and even overtly unpleasant at some points. But that's what you are bound to find when you hold a mirror up to a person's life.

Update: I decided to radically overhaul this entire song AGAIN, removing the shrill parts entirely and having the lyrics on the hook be the very first part, plus adding some more atmospheric parts. I know this is multiple days later. I don't really care if anyone see this tbh, it's my own little passion project. I'll go back to making Geometry Dash dubstep songs next year.

By the way: As of the upload date, it is my birthday!

These are the lyrics for this song:

Hook:

It's gonna take some time to get me used to

No longer living for myself

It's gonna take some time to wean me off of

Worshipping anything else

Oh, Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord

The Earth is yours

Verse 1:

Forgot how to behave, pushed people away

Piece of my mind broke, just pop it in place

'Cause the damned, they ain't it

All the pain and anguish

Made me who I am so I ain't complainin

Now these things are changin'

No more games we playin'

No more fame in famous

Ain't no shame in shaming

When I make a move I cover my bases

We in the Matrix solving for the basis

Forgot my name but I know what my face is

Slow to anger, that homie of stasis

Yeah

That's who I Am.

Verse 2:

Lord I come before you humbled and trembling

I see your work in your plans and see your hands reassembling

I see the signs of the times and the change of the seasons

Witness the holy spirit and my God's holy reasons

For putting me up on this world in this time and this place

On a journey on a spinning rock tumbling through space

Even if my bad days outnumber my good days,

Imma keep my act straight and thank God that I have grace

And Imma let the Lord use my body for His works

And Imma surrender myself to this holy rebirth

And every moment that I feel that my will has been broken

Imma keep my ear out for what the angel has spoken
