TGRI - Violin Concerto op.1 in C Minor

Hello everyone! I'm very happy to show you all a Concerto I've been working on for a while now. I'm not too familiar with how concertos work and I didn't do too much research so I hope I didn't mess anything up in that regard.

This Concerto was made for a man named Stan Bolten who is an amazing violinist and friend.

While making this concerto, I was trying to decide on a theme which all of the movements would have in common. After I created the first movement, I decided that it should be about all the things that go on during the night. For the second movement, I imagine taking a long walk on the side of the round at midnight. In the third movement, I imagined a late-night party. This explains why it sounds kind of poppy but with more than just major and minor chords haha.

Timestamps and Sheet music:

(I'm no professional at notation so please be gentle)

The first movement starts at 0:00

First Movement from Concerto in C minor, Op.pdf

The second movement starts at 01:51

Second movemend from Concerto in C Minor, Op.pdf

The third movement starts at 4:28

Third movement from Concerto in C minor, Op.pdf

I hope you all enjoy it!

I'm usually not really one for classical music, but I really like this. I feel like you really started to shine in the second and third movements. The first kind of feels like it doesn't really know what it's doing. However, I could totally see the second movement being sort of like a nocturn and the third movement being something of a club EDM style song. I really like the theme of the night. I'd really like to see more concertos from you!

Thanks newgrounds for not telling me a new Tangeroni song came out, that’s very appreciated.
In all seriousness, this is a concerto, although a very non traditional one that could easily be a duet as well. I do like the different time signatures and I also appreciate the traditional take on the first and third movements being more energetic than the second. Also I see you’ve begun to use decrescendos, which I know can have a lot of use cases and potential immersion that here hasn’t been fully realized. Granted I normally decrease the filter and maybe a high/low parameter EQ section rather than the volume but I doubt Sibelius has that type of advanced mixing given that its main purpose is writing music, not playing it.
I can’t help but think you may have gotten the idea to have 3 movements in 1 song from me, which if that’s the case, that style fits with your music far better than mine so please keep doing it whenever you want to tell a grand, long story. This song really gives me pirate vibes, which is by no means a bad thing, and hay sentiment is supported by the title. Nice work.
