I like the ideas in this. There are some riffs which are very nice too - particularly the saw in the second passage

It's possible you're trying to produce something unique, and it's negating the effectiveness of the track. For instance, you have a bass stab which fades in and out. I think you'd benefit more from losing that automation and having it static. The double kick muddies the mix, and you would probably find the track is more defined by having a simple 4/4 style. Where your kick lands on the bassline on it's second hit, it's usually a cardinal sin.

Jeansowaty responds:

I'll be frank, the beat pattern is like that because I recreated it from a song generated with Melobytes playing at 95 BPM. I felt it could sound pretty surreal and innovative if sped up to 137 BPM. As for the bass, I guess I tried to add some variety. And yeah you're very right, I'm not trying to create something generic/typical. Modern techno/trance is usually pretty on the grid and the word "cardinal" you said is pretty much an effect of that, there's barely any place for innovation. I like to experiment, maybe the end result is not gonna be very great, but it's a lesson for me to see what works and what does not :) Your suggestions are easy to apply though. Thanks for the feedback!
