ahh time signatures how i miss fucking with you, this song is mostly me fucking with time signatures and polyrhythms, they're really fun, the main concept is that theres a sound that plays every 4 quarter notes, and only every 4 quarter notes, it never moves away from that, and the time signatures kinda make this sound move around all the time despite it never changing, which means that it creates a kind of polymeter with the rest of the song, theres also a point in the song where- theres a polyrhymth-polymeter- yes, that exists, its a 3:2 polyrhythm in 5/8 while the rest of the song is in 5/4 its the second drop its uh- quite funny- WHYYY-

also, this song is in 15ed2, 15 equal divisions of the octave(2/1) which means making a western scale like major or minor- is literally impossible, but you can cheat, and kinda make a- pretend-scale, in this case, this song uses THE DORIAN SCALEEEE, ITS THE SCALE IV USED THE LEAST, WHICH IS HILARIOUs CONSIDERING THAT IM INCLUDING LOCRIAN IN THIS-- there are two scales iv almost never used, lydian, and dorian, however lydian has been used a few times, but dorian- i dont knoww whyy i have so much trouble with the scale even though it really shouldnt be that bad, i feel like this is a great example of how much i use scales like major and phrygian (not even minor! im willing to bet i use phrygian more than minor) but not much else so im happy to explore some more worlds, hell iv even started getting into mixolydian with SOUNDTRACK using it and the second dreamers album song,
