Yeah, the 3ds is actually quite a good console, with more personalisation than the switch will ever have tbh... all the dses are a bit old now, but they are still good. The app im using is kind of a separate app you can download on the 3ds from the eshop, the 3ds doesn't have it downloaded out of box.

It's called rytmik Ultimate. It cost money to download, but its a good app for making and sharing music. There is also a few other music making apps on the 3ds eshop too.

The 3ds also has Nintendo 3ds Sound, which is one of the preloaded apps on the system when you get it, it lets you record and edit small sound clips with the mic and also has a music player for any mp3 files stored on the SD card.

(Edit: The eshop is shut down now... 😔 If you never got a 3ds I feel so bad for you. )
