I was originally trying to go for drum n bass, but it kinda started to go in another direction after I got started. This I've decided will be the next song in my current album, so here's some lore...

But one day, the core of their home, and the source of all their energy, started to die. A cloud of Dark Matter had crept into Driae undetected and corrupted it’s core, eating away at the light within. The Derpits called for an important meeting. They decided that they would have to find a new source of Light Matter in order to survive. So they quickly built makeshift spaceships and flew off to find a new home, driven out by darkness.

They made their voyage across the abyss of space, in hopes of finding a new source of Light Matter. But they grew weary, drained of energy. Eventually they did find another source of Light energy, but it was small and weak, so they used it up quickly and had to move on. The small fleet of ships wandered aimlessly for what seemed like an endless amount of time, and were just about to give up hope when they saw something in the distance…

And if you're wondering how this relates to the song, it's because of the time it took for them to travel. In my mind it took a very long time, so here's a song about time lol.
