my first sort of-ish completed-but-not-really-
completed song ever.
i do have some experience with fl studio 7, but i was never inspired enough to actually complete a song.
this song is probably one of my favorite pieces of work that i've composed.
although some may feel like it's finished, i still feel a sort of "hole" in it.
criticism would be really helpful :].

It's an interesting take on the theme, and loops neatly...
However, I would suggest shifting the instrument change, at 1:02, to around 0:35. And... maybe some more beat-setting percussion... a more prominent tune-setting instrument ( like the one that plays the main tune for the first minute ) .
you're right.
it probably would sound better shifting around 0:35, seeing as it takes a little too long to pick up and stuff.
and if by adding some "more beat-setting percussion" you're referring to the original instruments in the song, then trust me, i'm already on that. :]

It somehow didn't exactly touch the spot but it has potential,
maybe try a little bit more variation in that repetitive 5 note (like ya did at 1:02, that was cool), and find a way to put more oomph into the main melody perhaps a instrument to guide it?
