HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!
We're working hard to give you the best site possible, but we have bills to pay and community support is vital to keep things going and growing. Thank you for considering!
You fall asleep on the subway, and wake up at the final destination. You have never seen this station before..
It's like a maze. Wait.. What direction did you come from?
I started this track last Halloween, but ended up finishing another track and almost forgot about it. This year I decided to polish it up and give it a proper release. I always wanted to make something like this, first time I tried was with "mansion of secrets". I am happy with how this one turned out, inspired by The OSTs of the "medievil" games for ps1, and Danny Elfman's style of composing.
I used Dall e 2 To render out the visuals for this track, inputting render blocks until I had one cohesive large picture that tells a story from left to right. Check it out on YT!:

gives a very Paranoid vibe!
You know, this song kinda reminds me of Professor Layton games. It does fall in line with the usual imagery they have, that sort of steampunk aura that I find to be in this piece too. I am... satisfied.
I like the exotic sound design and heavy downbeats here. The frantic low-pitched piano riff at :48 and the orchestral hits work really well together. The bells and percussion are a nice touch, too. I like the shift towards a more atmospheric flair at 2:00. Later on in the piece, the rhythms feel a tad square, and I feel like the piece didn't quite get back to a big "point of arrival" towards the end. I also think the snare is a bit buried in the mix during the last 30 seconds or so. That said, you nailed the apprehensive mood and sound design here, WF. Keep at it! ^_^
been awhile since i bumped a wf tune, this rocks love the suspicious vibe! :)
