New beat!

The Greek myth of the Sirens is sick as fuck.

In Greek mythology, Sirens were part Human, part Bird. The Sirens lived on a rocky island in the middle of the sea, possibly near Italy. They sang melodies so beautiful that sailors passing by couldn't resist getting closer to them. Following the sound of music, the sailors would steer their boats towards them or jump in the water to get closer. Either way, it always ended in disaster on the rocks.

I've been digging for dialogue mentioning these exotic creatures and, 30 minutes ago, I stumbled upon a track I found on a Halloween-themed LP I copped on SoulSeek months ago. What a valuable resource that is.

Dialogue:

"Ancient Mariners spoke of the songs of the sirens. Too seductive to ignore, too deadly to hear.

Upon the jagged rocks sit these temptresses of the sea weaving notes that draw ships ever closer until finally the crews are driven mad in their hunger for more. The blind fury the ships find only uncharted rocks and cliffs.

And death.

The sirens are silent... until another ship makes its way along these seven seas..."
