Inspirations for this song include Run Boy Run by Woodkid and Selee by Super Flu. I made the percussion by taking some toms and speeding them up and I layered them with a snare. Add a Kick on every quarter note and you have this dense percussion with African (obviously not authentic) tribe vibes or something.

That thing that sounds kinda like an electric guitar is a crappy saxophone synth with pitch shift, amp and distortion.

I tried to make all the instrumentals very atmospheric and I think I did a good job fitting them around the bouncy syncopated melody in the drops, even though that was one of the last things I wrote.
