HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!
We're working hard to give you the best site possible, but we have bills to pay and community support is vital to keep things going and growing. Thank you for considering!
It 'ends' with this, the ultimate compilation of degrading effects. Inspired by the masters of nostalgia and degradation such as The Caretaker's "Everywhere at the End of Time" and C418's "The End", this song features familiar tunes to seasoned Lazerwing listeners, but with a twist. Most of the source material for the song came from my past track 'Horizon', which I consider to be the song with the most wasted potential. I already wanted to revisit the middle part for a while, since it has such a unique chord progression, which I haven't been able to replicate in any other track. When I started inspecting the old project I found a variation I made that I never used and totally forgotten about. This variation was an adaptation of the beginning of the song, made to work in a different key. Ironically, this sounded much more like a natural end than what I ended up going for back in the day. For those not familiar: the original ended with a high-speed 'drop' and a depressing solo piano part right after to contrast it. It didn't keep a consistent tone at all. But now, the material has finally been put to good use, to wrap up this big adventure.
Between writing all the songs, mixing, mastering, and creating the videos, this entire project took over 100 hours to make, so a like would be much appreciated :). Lazerwing out
