OMG! I'M REALLY LOVE THIS! Amazing work!
I'm confused on how the hell you made this. It's AWESOME.
Sounds really nice, good job:)
Really do enjoy the atmosphere and the way that the reverb encapsulates the sounds, it doesn't drown the punch out.
I apologize if I'm asking too many questions but I'm curious.
1. How did you make the intro? Featuring Glitchy static noise.
2. How did you make the drums?
3. How did you do the base?
4. What was your philosophy on structuring your song?
That's ok! I love answering questions.
1. The static noise is from the original video I sampled for the voice clips. I put it through some heavy distortion so it'd be more audible. It was kind of an accident cause I was just testing how distortion would sound on the voices but thought the static bit sounded kinda neat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gf3gyzMnR1o
2.I have a bunch of old sample packs full of drum loops I like to cut up and play around with.
3.The bassline is a heavily overdriven 909 kick with some added effects and set to loop rapidly, hence the "wobbly" sound in some parts.
4.There wasn't much of one really. I hadn't made any music in months and had been listening to a lot of moody breakcore (Sewerslvt, Tokyopill, Foxxy Dekay, etc.) which put me in the mood to make something like it. It was originally gonna be a more personal track without much theming, but after a point I started trying some different vocal samples to spice it up a bit. I found that old Chicken Little clip and thought, "oh hey this kinda works, and the atmosphere is equal parts demure little chicken girl and anxiety in the back of the head, might as well go for it". Wrapped up the track at like 2am, scribbled up some art for it the next day at work and now it's here.
Thanks for your intrigue. :)
