Here's my piece for the 20th Anniversary Audio Collab 90 BPM section - I've called it "Simmer" and it's a pretty big departure from my normal styles.
I was driven to try something new because there weren't many 90 BPM submissions, and I wanted to branch out a bit in style, tempo, and technique. This song uses a lot of real-world drum samples, coupled with come traditional Papkee orchestral elements and an attempt at some electronica. I also couldn't resist throwing in a little EP solo and some piano, because, yanno.
I filed it under "Fusion" because I have no clue what genre you'd actually call this. I kinda like it tho.
Hits hard, I think that this would classify under the acid jazz genre.
