I'm not normally one for explaining my work but this song is something special to me.

I wrote this piece about 4 years before I actually started working on it.

I've suffered with insomnia and during my sleepless nights I figured I could use them productively instead of staring at the ceiling for hours, praying to catch some zzz's.

The feel of Sometimes I Sleep was Inspired by songs like

"Why should I worry" -oliver and company

"friend like me" - aladin

"Be prepared" - lion king

And I modelled the drums by combining a killer rock song (radar love - golden earring) and an incredible big band, swing piece (sing sing sing - benny goodman) Sometimes i sleep is basically just a way to vicariously achieve my fantasy of being a Disney villain.

-REAPER is the DAW I use for mixing -For the big band instruments I used a combination of SINE player, LABS - spitfire audio and -For drums I used a combination of MTPOWERdrumkit and LABS -And for the backing guitar I used my FINGERS
