Terraria's music already on multiple cases leans into dubstep-like sound design so going all out on that aspect isn't a bad idea at all, maybe the use of in-game sound effects is a bit too extra, it feels less like a remix of a theme and more like I am experiencing a music video of someone's playthrough without the video part, which may or may not have been the intent here.

I wouldn't say that terraria ost leans into dubstep-like sound design, because when it does its there for another purpose. Core of terraria music isn't even chiptune or something electronic, it feels more like orchestral music with a bunch of funi synths that complements main idea of each song. Terraria music is so unique that its genre is a really tough question. Thanks for feedback!
