YES. I love eerie soundtrack-type music, and you nailed this. The low-pitched, almost meditative drone, the echo-y vocals, and the ambient crickets/nature sound effects all contribute to some fantastic sound design, and the pacing of the piece is really nice too. Just when I think the piece is petering out a bit, the piano riff at 2:15 takes it in a new, suspenseful direction. Love the variety and sense of narrative direction here. If I had to complain about one thing, it might be that the way the crickets duck under the mix when the vocals/bass come in sounds a bit unnatural. Regardless, this is a thoroughly enjoyable track, SFW! Keep it up. ^_^

I've been working on uploading newer scoring samples to my personal website and came across this dark horror track from 2020. Because they were unable to perform (due to COVID lockdown), a theater group from London organized a collaborative project in 2020 pairing actors with animators and musicians. The project I worked on was called Jenny Greenteeth which told the story of a woman who would sing to lure children and men to the river (or lake/swamp/pond/etc depending on the version of the folklore you read) and then drowns them before eating them in the murky depths. This version told an origin story as well where she was originally a bride who drowned on her wedding day.
I don't have the opportunity to work on many horror projects, so this was a fun exercise in sound design.
saw this a few days ago but forgot to leave a review. this is a really cool piece in many aspects but I just love how even though so much of it is dark and low sounding instruments, the mix remains clear and well balanced instead of being a muddy and murky track. masterfully done, the part at around 1:30 and onward for a bit reminds me a lot of the Dark soundtrack. its a German sci-fi dark thriller esque show on Netflix
