Hello again! I’ve learned a lot since I finished Elise’s Milk Factory, and after taking like a month to make the base I blasted through everything else, which is nice to see. This song name was recommended in one of my friend’s gcs, and I decided it would be cool to make a song about it. Moofus is an inside joke of mine, deriving from the original source ‘Water Moofus,’ which I first heard in a math class when someone said it, and it just stuck. I nor Elise made moofus, but I know the origin is it was a pronunciation of ‘Watermelon.’ It’s been an everyday word with no meaning applied to it and it’s very ironic yearning such a stupid word juxtaposing these lyrics. This is the first time I’ve sang and made up lyrics, and I’m very proud of myself. However, expect to see longer songs in the future because I hate short songs since they end so quickly.
My inspiration for this song was Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai. The clarinet, which by the way sounds nothing like a clarinet :( was not intentionally added because of Virtual Insanity, I just really like the instrument. And, y’know, if it doesn’t have a Timpani it isn’t Weaver+. The buildup and structure is inspired by Outkast, as I realized how simple their songs are and how much the lyrics fill it up. However, I could’ve just stuck with percussion, but ‘It Was A Good Day’ by Ice Cube just made me want to make a melody that isn’t the melody so badly. I mean, the instrumental version slaps, and although it’s just a maybe seven second loop, I could listen to it for hours
If you read all of that, kudos to you :P
