A little over a week ago the latest Ratchet and Clank game (Rift Apart) became the first game in the series to be officially ported to PC. While I take no credit for involvement with the game (though friends of mine might be interested to know Devo's frontman did much of the actual music), I have gotten hooked, to the point that the temptation to rescore bits of it has risen. No way I'd have the time to do a full rescore of an AAA game like this, but even so.
This particular instrumental is also meant as a tribute to Gary Numan's "Exile" album, though I'm happy to say I didn't take ideas from any one song from the album like I admit I have in the past, and with the exception of the drumloops, all instruments were different in their own way (from the Korg Triton VST, to be exact). Still, I feel it works a bit with the scene it was from in the game.
