I like it, very cheerful and melodic!!!
Happy album release day! I meant to post this at like 8am EST, but I slept through it.
This is the 5th and final installment from the soundtrack to the now defunct game "Unearthed: The Mines of Estra". The game featured a low-poly medieval-type character equipped with a pickax. The player needed to explore various rooms in a mine and break rocks to solve problems and advance to the next level. The soundtrack was pretty far along when the plug was unfortuantely pulled from the project. Unfortunate as I don't have a ton of games in my portfolio, but what can you do? I'll TELL you what you can do...release the music anyway!
This level featured an underground forest. There was a hole in the ceiling of the mine in this room where light could spill in. Grass, trees, and other foliage were able to grow in this idyllic setting and the level was set up to be a place of rest after completing the previous 4 levels. The music needed to sound somewhat bucolic and "homey".
The full album is now released!!! I've been proud to give all the creative people on Newgrounds a preview of the album in it's entirety ahead of time. This community is amazing.
If you want to stream this album on Spotify, youtube, or purchase on bandcamp, or find any other places this album is available, you can use this link. I'll also link some of the popular places below directly since I know clicking things is annoying. My online presence is pretty bad, but I'm trying to make it better. If you like what you hear, feel free to follow me on social media. I'm always keen to connect with creative people.
