••► ABOUT THE EP

I've had the idea of releasing a Color Bass EP for a while now, but I've always struggled with it because making Color Bass is painful to me for reasons. I hoping this will be my last time making Color Bass.

Ethereal is a track I started with the EP in mind, I don't have much to say about it, despite it being one of my favorite tracks in the EP.

Prism Beam is the track that started this EP. I had a random melody and progression idea and I wrote it down. Decided to try making Color Bass with it to try some mixing tricks out, and I ended up liking it. With that and Letting Go in mind, I thought I could make the EP a reality.

Scintillate is the last track I made with the EP in mind. I really wanted to make use of the "Anime Canon" progression, which is like an extended version of a progression I use often, which I call "extended Royal Road" progression, which is just Royal Road progression with a resolution.

Letting Go is a track I started in January 7, 2020, as part of a different EP. I've submitted the first version finished in February 2020 to many places, but no one was interested in it. Even fellow producers didn't care about it at all, which made me really sad since at the time it was the track I was the most proud of. I remade the track 1 or 2 more times and got the same disappointing results. I had to finish that track, or at least the main melody which I really like, so I remade it a 2nd or 3rd time for this EP. It used to be called Celestial, then Falling Stars. Now I call it Letting Go. The theme may be a little different from the other tracks, but seemed perfect with this track and my feelings towards Color Bass.

I used to think Color Bass was logically the best genre for me, but after so much suffering, I'm finally letting go. I'm going to focus on things that truly make me happy.

Anyway, if you've been following me for Color Bass, I hope you stay for my future projects. I got more good things coming, even if it's not exactly Color Bass ^w^
